A hands-on, proactive Accountant with in-depth multinational/ group/ intercompany accounts management expertise across various industry sectors, complemented by an innate ability to oversee the effectiveness of accounting processes/ internal controls through skilful application of appropriate systems as well as implementation of new policies/ procedures in compliance with current standards and legislation to fulfil business expectations. Competencies include full function creditors/ debtors; financial/ management accounting/ reporting; VAT (statutory); budgets; review/ assessment of cost saving opportunities; reconciliations & maintenance (GL/ bank/ balance sheet); fixed asset control/updates; audits (financial year end/ BBBEE); journals; trial balance; inventory; intercompany billing; accounts analysis/interpretation in terms of data processing; taxation; payroll (local/ foreign); and professional end-to-end query resolution of matters relating. The candidate excels in keeping up-to-date on current regulatory & accounting developments; assessing/ verifying/ correcting expenses within company guidelines; and upholds continued liaison with all key parties across all levels to ensure seamless execution of accounting functionality across all levels.
